Company Overview

A premier logistics and bulk haulage specialist with a 80-year legacy. Based in South Sydney, our client provides critical supply chain solutions, transportation of construction, quarry materials, and agricultural commodities. They pride themselves on reliability, safety, and operational excellence.

The Role

We are seeking an organized and proactive Transport Allocator to join the operations team. As the "heartbeat" of our daily movements, you will be responsible for the efficient scheduling of our fleet and drivers, ensuring that bulk materials move seamlessly between our sites and our clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Allocate and dispatch a diverse fleet to meet daily delivery requirements.
• Manage customer orders and bookings with a timing sub-contractor’s allocation. Will also be handling ship discharges and loading activities at Port Kembla Inner and Outer Harbour.
• Act as the primary point of contact for drivers, providing clear instructions and monitoring progress in real-time.
• Ensure all movements adhere to Chain of Responsibility (CoR) legislation and company safety protocols.
• Rapidly adjust schedules in response to delays, traffic congestion, or changing customer priorities.
• Maintain professional communication with clients regarding delivery windows and status updates.
• Maintain accurate records on Excel and ensure all paperwork (mass management, fatigue logs) is compliant.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Previous experience as a truck driver or in transport allocation or scheduling, ideally within tipper or bulk haulage logistics
• Good geographical knowledge of the NSW region
• Previous loader operator or forklift experience would be an advantage
• Proficiency in MS Office
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to "talk the talk" with drivers.
• A high level of resilience and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
• Flexibility to work shifts that align with operating hours between 5am-5pm
